When is the best time to floss?

Most people think that the best time to floss is at bedtime because when we sleep, the flow of saliva from our salivary glands decreases. This decrease in saliva decreases the effects of combating the effects of bacteria and their byproducts on our teeth and gums.
But if you find that you simply do not have the time at bedtime to clean the inter-proximal space thoroughly any other time of day will do.
The absolute best time to floss your teeth is during that part of your day when you have enough time to floss thoroughly.
The important message is to do it WELL at least ONCE a day!

How long does it take to perform inter-proximal cleaning?

The amount of time that it takes for you to floss your teeth will simply depend on your level of skill.
When you are first learning how to perform good inter-proximal cleaning techniques it will take you longer and might be frustrating. But as you get better the session should improve as your skill improves. At that point, it will probably only take a minute or two of your time.
